Great stay. There was a family staying in the next door villa who were quiet and respectful that they had neighbours. That said, the noise doesn't seem to travel so I can imagine, unless you get really unlucky, the fact this place has an adjoining villa won't be noticed. Road up to the property is very doable. From time to time, there'll be another car on the road but with a bit of manouvering/potentially reversing to a passing spot, it's never really a problem to get up and down. The pool is fantastic. A great size. The combined living / dining / kitchen area is small, but as per the photos. The only negative for us was that the combined living/dining/kitchen area didn't have air conditioning. As a result, it was particularly hot on an evening - especially if we'd cooked - and could be a little uncomfortable. It's a fifteen minute walk down to the bakery and about twenty to get back up. Very doable on a morning before it gets too hot. Overall, highly recommended.

Villa Ilios is a holiday villa located in Apolysies, Nisaki and on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, with a private pool (9m x 5 m), amazing sunny terraces and exceptional views over the bay up to the South of the island and the Greek Mainland.

Villa Ilios is set over two levels, and it is spacious for a family or party of six persons, who can be accommodated in 3 airy a/c bedrooms and share two bathrooms.

The property is the sister of the semi-detached villa Kalithea, and they can be rented together for a larger family or party group. It occupies the left-hand side of the building and is independent and private.

Layout

The main entrance opens to the ground floor, which features an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, one twin and one double bedroom sharing between a family shower room and front balconies offering stunning views over the bay and the village.

The stone staircase at the end of the living rooms lands on the villa's lower level and to a lovely hall area with a wardrobe and dressing - make-up facilities.

On the left of this area is a second twin bedroom and a bathroom, but the most charming part is the front balcony and its superb sea views.

Pool and Terraces

The enormous sunny terrace is established on the upper level with a beautiful private pool in the middle and sun umbrellas - sun loungers for intensive sunbathing or relaxing in peace. A small pavilion with wooden dining facilities and a built-in BBQ is also ideally placed at the edge of the terrace for anyone wishing to try his cooking skills and then dine al fresco.

The Location

The views offered in this part of the house can only be something to remember forever, and it is one of the reasons that Villa Ilios is an excellent holiday home for anyone seeking a relaxing stay away from it all.

Location

General Information

Nisaki is only a very small village, extended from the slopes of mount Pantokrator all the way down to the sea and it is located on the celebrated northeast coast of Corfu Island, a meret 25 kms from Corfu Town.
Nisaki, in the Greek language, means: "small island" and it is believed that took its name from the small island, which existed in its bay. Years ago, the locals used to work on this island, shaping stones and rocks for building, brought to them by boats. After many years, the chippings falling into sea formed a ramp and eventually joined the land. Now, there is a narrow road running between the old island, where a couple of Tavernas are standing and the mainland. Lately, a jetty was constructed, linking it permanently to the coast.
The main village of Nisaki was emerging on the hill, above this inlet, where a church, a school, a small cafe and the village's first houses were located.
In nowadays the village on its own is quite sporadic and has got no main centre. The main part of the village is alongside and upward the main coastal road. Above the main road there are 2-3 winding lanes that go up high, through olive groves and eventually join Nisaki with the top of Mount Pantokrator.
Hundreds of luxury villas adorn the slopes of the Mountain, providing spectacular views and making Nisaki, overall, a very popular resort, a car is recommended due to the elevated location of most properties.
Nissaki is still an un-commercialized resort, but with unbelievable scenery and amazing viewpoints promising a truly memorable holiday. It is a tranquil village, ideal for family holidays, elderly couples and people who love traditional Greece. Young couples are also welcome, as the area offers a choice of nightlife just a few kilometers further up, in Kassiopi and / or Ipsos. The main Nissaki beach area is small but elegant waterside tavernas are simply perfect to while away time gazing out to the stunning scenery of the rugged Albanian mountains beyond the Corfu Channel and sparkling Ionian Sea.
