Good deal, not so walkable, however for 2/10 days we had no vehicle and still managed to have a great time, but depends on fitness. Place as described, pool and house kept clean during stay. Great beaches and restaurants in close distance by bike or car. Amazing Midnight bar at the bottom of the hill, serving pizza and drinks; showing World Cup matches till late. Overall, excellent stay, would recommend.

Villa Kefalaki is a charming conversion of an old stone house to a holiday villa that nestles on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator in Apolysies, above Nisaki village. It is fully air-conditioned and offers impressive sunrises and sea views over the bay up to the South of the Ionian Sea and the Greek Mainland.

Villa Kefalaki is a quiet and remote stone house, with private pool (5 m X 8 m) overlooking the lovely bay underneath, sunny terraces and only a five minutes drive to the local facilities and nearby beaches. Villa Kefalaki is all set on one level, and it is spacious for a family or party of up to 6 persons. Guests can be accommodated in 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. This charming house, due to its arrangement and to the absence of interior stairs, is fitting for persons having mobility difficulties!

Layout
Access to the villa is via the sunny surrounding terrace, which is reached by steps from the property's parking area.

The entrance opens into a traditional lounge with stone walls and wooden ceilings, a well-equipped kitchen with a window that opens to the front roofed part of the terrace, and close to the kitchen a dining area.

The three available bedrooms are oriented towards the pool, and are equipped with private french doors, for easy access to the terraces and pool.

There is a Master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and shower fitments and two twins, which share in between a shower / WC room.

Pool - Terraces
The private pool (5 m X 8 m, Depth 0.9 m X 1.75 m)), accessed via Roman Steps, is set on the sea-facing part of the house, looking Southwards, with amazing views of the open sea and the countryside on its right. The spacious surrounding terraces have sun loungers, side shower and umbrellas, and remain sunny most of the day.

On terraces’ far-right end a built BBQ is available, with the necessary dining facilities nearby, for anyone who would wish to try his cooking skills and dine al fresco.

The Location
Fruit trees, geraniums and bright greeneries surround the villa, located in a private olive grove with its own parking space. The village of Nisaki with the bakery, the supermarkets and the other local facilities is less than a km away (down the hilly road).

The tranquillity offered by the location to occupants, in conjunction with the unsurpassed views and sceneries, make Kefalaki the ideal home for a dreamy and memorable holiday away from it all.

Location

General Information

Nisaki is only a very small village, extended from the slopes of mount Pantokrator all the way down to the sea and it is located on the celebrated northeast coast of Corfu Island, a meret 25 kms from Corfu Town.
Nisaki, in the Greek language, means: "small island" and it is believed that took its name from the small island, which existed in its bay. Years ago, the locals used to work on this island, shaping stones and rocks for building, brought to them by boats. After many years, the chippings falling into sea formed a ramp and eventually joined the land. Now, there is a narrow road running between the old island, where a couple of Tavernas are standing and the mainland. Lately, a jetty was constructed, linking it permanently to the coast.
The main village of Nisaki was emerging on the hill, above this inlet, where a church, a school, a small cafe and the village's first houses were located.
In nowadays the village on its own is quite sporadic and has got no main centre. The main part of the village is alongside and upward the main coastal road. Above the main road there are 2-3 winding lanes that go up high, through olive groves and eventually join Nisaki with the top of Mount Pantokrator.
Hundreds of luxury villas adorn the slopes of the Mountain, providing spectacular views and making Nisaki, overall, a very popular resort, a car is recommended due to the elevated location of most properties.
Nissaki is still an un-commercialized resort, but with unbelievable scenery and amazing viewpoints promising a truly memorable holiday. It is a tranquil village, ideal for family holidays, elderly couples and people who love traditional Greece. Young couples are also welcome, as the area offers a choice of nightlife just a few kilometers further up, in Kassiopi and / or Ipsos. The main Nissaki beach area is small but elegant waterside tavernas are simply perfect to while away time gazing out to the stunning scenery of the rugged Albanian mountains beyond the Corfu Channel and sparkling Ionian Sea.
